MEASURE PRECISELY
A closer look at your colours.
Our equipment includes the Admesy Hera, Admesy PCM2X-271 and Minolta CA-410. They help us assess colour reproduction and brightness accurately, providing the basis for tuning your display.
Our InnoPQ test and measurement software lets us develop custom test signals and investigate how displays respond to changing picture content. We also use Calman for calibration, connecting measurements to the picture you actually see.

With HDR and wide colour gamuts, the match between your instrument and display matters. An affordable colorimeter can be a starting point, but may reach its limits in very dark tones, bright highlights or narrow-band colours. We help you choose a measurement setup that suits your display, goals and budget.

Precision takes two.
A high-quality colorimeter takes fast readings, including in dark image areas. A precise spectroradiometer captures the colour spectrum and provides a reference for display-specific profiling. Our tools include the Admesy PCM2X-271 and Hera — and we can supply suitable instruments for your own setup.
Our InnoPQ test patterns and sequences target colour reproduction, shadow detail and HDR highlights. We agree the scope, formats and usage rights to suit your application.
Bildtechnik.de teaches monitor and TV calibration as part of its photography, video and AI learning path. Start with a free introductory lesson and a display checklist. Optional in-person practice days cover monitors or TV/SDR-HDR; scope, equipment and price are agreed separately.
The online preview is currently in German, free and without a certificate. The full certificate course is in development.
Why a preset and low Delta E numbers do not tell the whole story.
A correction preset may suit your display. It does not replace verified profiling of your particular colorimeter on the target display against a suitable spectral reference. Inappropriate corrections can cause systematic measurement errors, especially with narrow spectral peaks. Profiling also does not remove the limits of measurement range, noise or spectral resolution of the instruments involved.
Delta E describes the calculated colour error of the points measured. It matters. For a convincing HDR picture, we also examine luminance tracking, tone mapping, shadow detail and behaviour as image content changes. Our own test sequences and a trained eye complement the measurements.

Florian chairs the HDR subcommittee of the International Committee for Display Metrology (ICDM). He contributes to the IDMS measurement standard and publishes scientific papers on HDR display measurement, bringing that knowledge to your home cinema.

Expertise you can put to use. As a tutor in display and HDR workshops, Florian makes complex imaging technology understandable. During your appointment, you can ask him your questions directly and get to know your own setup better.
Your calibration includes an InnoPQ home device seal and a personal calibration certificate. Klarsicht, Filmreif or Kinofein: your service level, calibration year and device details document the individual calibration of your display.

An annual check helps us review picture reproduction and settings. For a long-term schedule of repeat visits, we offer an individual maintenance quotation with preferential pricing. Scope, term and travel are agreed in advance.
Professional displays and workstations need their own measurement scope and service levels. Book calibration for studios, post-production and other businesses through FF Pictures.
That depends on your model, its available controls and your expectations. Tell us about your device and how you use it. We discuss the scope that makes sense before you commission us. Any measurable or visible change can only be assessed on your particular device.
How should I prepare for the appointment?
Have your model details, remote control and usual playback devices ready. The display or screen should be accessible, and the room should ideally be able to be darkened. We agree suitable picture modes, software versions and warm-up times for your device beforehand. You are welcome to watch and ask questions during the appointment.
How long does an on-site appointment take?
For Kinofein at €999 including VAT, we allow around 4–6 hours at your home. This covers setup, measurements, the agreed picture settings and a discussion of the results. Travel is charged separately. We agree the scope and timing of other packages or complex systems beforehand.
What does calibration actually mean?
We measure how your device reproduces brightness, greyscale and colour, compare it with an appropriate reference and use the available controls. Results and settings are documented. Calibration does not change the physical limits of your display.
How is this different from Filmmaker Mode?
A good cinema picture mode can be a useful starting point. Individual calibration checks your particular device and the agreed modes using measurement instruments. It can also account for your signal source and viewing conditions.
What about OLED, Mini-LED, laser or Dolby Vision?
We work with different display technologies. The available controls and measurement procedures depend on the exact model. We only tune Dolby Vision or special gaming modes if the device supports the intended procedure. A model check is part of preparing your quotation.
Can I send in a large TV?
TVs can be calibrated in our lab. For large devices, we first agree packaging, transport, costs and timing. Original packaging alone is not always sufficient. Please do not send anything without confirmation; an on-site appointment is an alternative.
Will you modify my device’s hardware?
Our calibration uses the agreed picture settings and supported interfaces. Hardware modifications are not part of the packages. We discuss special access methods or additional devices in advance. Manufacturer warranties remain subject to their respective terms.
What happens after an update or reset?
You receive a settings overview. A firmware update or reset may change settings, and the overview may not restore every device completely. If you contact us, we will check whether brief assistance or a new measurement makes sense. New measurements require a separate commission.
Am I booking or paying for anything here?
No. You are sending a non-binding enquiry. Only after a model check, an agreed scope and a quotation do you decide whether to commission us. We confirm appointments and lab deliveries personally.
